There are two levels of roles: one for the organization and one for each project.
Organization roles #
Everyone in an organization has one of these roles. Change them under Organization settings → Members.
| Role | Can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything an admin can do, plus: switch the plan, transfer ownership, and delete the organization. There is exactly one owner. |
| Admin | Manage organization settings, members, invitations, teams and integrations, read the audit log, and act as manager of every project. |
| Member | Create projects, and work in the projects they have been given access to. A member sees no projects until they get access to one directly or through a team. |
Project roles #
A project role is given directly (Project settings → Members) or through a team. When someone gets a role in more than one way, the highest one applies. See Project access.

Organization owners and admins are always managers of every project.
